AND THE TEMPLE IS…

Click! Today, while going for my morning walk, I saw two things that I really liked… first, the car that I’d seen in our colony the other day, still parked where it was yesterday, and it was running this time, so I was able to get a look at the wonderful neon lights coming out of its tail-lamps… it was switched on with someone sitting inside it (so I couldn’t get a very good look at the car) but it was SWEET! It was the new Volvo that James Bond drives in THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO, and it looked pretty good in the movie, but it looked even better in person. And since it was on (it was of a nice white/grayish shade, I think) hubba-hubba… I could’ve stood over there for a few seconds at least and gazed into the wonderful colours staring back at me, but it wouldn’t have looked nice with that guy there, so I had to move on…

Sighting no. 2 was at the temple that I was passing and had said that I’d stop and ask someone which one it was the next time that I did, but started having second thoughts about it when I couldn’t see anyone there except for a woman who was cleaning all of the idols with milk (I think it symbolizes purity in a way, hence used to do something auspicious like this). So, as I was still continuing to move forward, I noticed that a guy had just walked past me now and he kind of looked like the type of guy who wouldn’t mind if someone like me approached him and asked him a stupid question—he looked like he could handle himself, and he looked pretty fit too—just in case he thought I was bothering him in any way; I knew he wouldn’t be threatened and simply walk away if he wanted to… so I moved in for the kill…

And said, “excuse me, Bhaiya (that’s hindi for ((elder)) brother; he looked elder to me by a couple of years at least, and we call our elders, at least those we don’t know—Bhaiya, especially if we want something from them:)), do you know what temple that is?”, and he turned around and looked at me, and said, “which one (and I pointed to the one on the main road) and he said, that’s Hanuman Ji Ka mandir=temple”, and I smiled and said, oh, Hanuman ji, okay, thanks, and we walked on… ((for some reason I was thinking it might’ve been Ganesh))… ah, mission accomplished, and I don’t know if it was because of the fact that I’d succeeded in doing something that I’d always wanted to for the longest time now (ever since I’d walk past that temple and wanted to know whose it was) but I suddenly had this new spring in my feet and could walk twice as fast now…

Almost forgot to add, but I think that the park maybe 1 and a half kilometers away from my place, it sure did feel like it this morning, and today I made an even better time walking up and down from it… 22 minutes to, and only 19/18 minutes back—I knew the downward slope would make for a better time. That, and the name of the poster on the RockyS showroom read BLUE (something)… damn, can you believe it, but I’ve forgotten it again; I’d seen it yesterday morning, and now it’s tomorrow, well actually it’s the day after—2 AM in the morning anyway, and the name that was on the posters was “BLUE” something, something else, and not “label” as I’d assumed; I was going a bit fast that day, and just saw the blue which was staring back at me in BIG, BOLD, CAPITAL letters and thought it had to be Label for some reason.
